Sustainable agricultural policy - conserving nature, protecting the environment

Funded by the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BFN) and the German Environment Agency (UBA), commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB).

Project duration: December 2015 - January 2017

Project partners: Wageningen University (coordinator), Technical University Munich, project office mareg (markt+region), Osnabrück University, and Justus Liebig University Gießen

ZA-NExUS developed science-based options for a future-oriented and sustainable agricultural policy. It proposed a new architecture for the agricultural sector and tried to stimulate public discussion on the future of the European Common Agricultural Policy by pledging for a new social contract.
